Flash Games
Whether used as a quirky marketing tool, an educational activity or simply for fun; games make for great addition to any website or marketing campaign. Email games are forwarded on and on, creating invaluable viral marketing opportunities. Searchlight has produced a variety of games dating back to when Flash was first launched. Using complex ActionScript, we can make games that interact with a users mouse, keyboard and computer. We can even add scoreboards to encourage repeat playing and in turn, maximum exposure to your product or business.
Flash Screen Savers
Flash can be used to create both rolling presentation based screen savers, and even interactive screen savers using the game technologies mentioned above. Screen savers can be packaged and distributed via CD or the Internet, and can be an ideal way of demonstrating a product or service to a variety of users.
Flash Presentations
Because of its vector based graphics engine, Flash is the perfect tool for presentations. They be displayed at great size without an increase in file size or a decrease in quality. Keyboard controls can also be added as well as embedded music and video clips to create a powerful demonstration experience for the user.
Case Study - Levucell SC Flash Presentation
Searchlight designed, developed and packaged this presentation for Bridgewater, to help with a marketing campaign for animal nutrition specialists Lallemand. Designed in Macromedia Flash, the presentation demonstrates how their product Levucell SC works within a Cows Ruman (Stomach). The whole presentation was derived from a few sketches, provided by the customer.
Flash was the ideal platform as it allows the presentation to be run at any size, whilst retaining crystal clear graphics. The presentation was then packaged so it could be distributed on CD or downloaded, without the need for any specialist software.

Case Study - Christmas Interactive Flash Game
Searchlight was asked by Fish Media to produce a simple but addictive game, to be mailed out at Christmas to their customer base, promoting their brand and demonstrating a service to offer their customers. Using client supplied graphics, Searchlight programmed the game in Macromedia Flash, and included a database driven score board at the end. The game was an instant success with a lot of positive feedback.
The idea is simple, you have 30 seconds during which multiple fish (adapted from the company logo) go across your screen. Your mouse cursor becomes a target, and left-click launches a snowball at a passing fish. The aim is to hit as many fish in the time provided.
