Searchlight has been offering its customers advanced hosting and email solutions for two years now. Word has spread and we now host over 100 sites for a wide range of business and personal customers.

Unlike the majority of web hosting companies based in the UK, our servers are also based here (most being based in US). They are kept at a secure, patrolled data centre in Leicester, on the backbone of the UK infrastructure. What this gives you is much faster website response times, and a much higher level of service from us. We have 24/7 access to the machines, and all equipment is owned not rented.
Equipment
Sites and email are hosted on Dell PowerEdge servers. Powered by Pentium 4 Xeon processors with a over 1GB of memory and half a terabyte of disk space. They sit behind a CISCO firewall, and are routed through a Cisco switch, both of which are maintained and monitored in-house. Backups of all data run every single night, and monthly backups are taken off site to minimise risk and downtime in the unlikely event of a serious failure.
Hosting, domains and email
Your site is hosted on the latest Windows 2003 server operating system, email is handelled by a leading email server solution with powerful anti-spam systems, web mail and backups. We are able to organise your hosting and email for you right from the beginning. We can register the domain for you, point it to our servers, and get you up and running with email, all using your new domain.
